The Wyoming Center for Business & Economic Analysis (WCBEA) is a direct spinoff of the Center for Economic & Business Data (CEBD).

WCBEA director Richard O’Gara created the CEBD in 1983 and directed it until 2004. At that time, it moved from its original location at Laramie County Community College and became the WCBEA, which was founded on July 1, 2004 as a private sector corporation.
