Richard O’Gara
Richard is the founder and director of the Wyoming Center for Business & Economic Analysis.
Education
Mr. O’Gara did his undergraduate work at Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio in Economics and his graduate work in economics at the University of Wyoming. He taught Economics, Money & Banking, Financial Management and other courses for 25 years at Laramie County Community College. He retired from the college in August 2002.
Previous Experience
Prior to founding the WCBEA, Mr. O’Gara in 1983 created and directed the Center for Economic & Business Data at Laramie County Community College until June 2004 when the center was dissolved. Prior to working at the college, Mr. O’Gara directed the Research & Statistics Division of the Wyoming Department of Labor. He worked as a fiscal administrater for the Wyoming Recreation Commission. He has written numerous economic and financial columns. He also operates a national and international wholesale business.
Professional Activities
Mr. O’Gara is a member of the National Association of Forensic Economists and the American Academy of Legal and Economic Experts. He is a member of Cheyenne LEADS and past director of the Enterprise Center and the Industrial Development Association of Cheyenne.
Cynthia Branch
Ms. Branch became a team member of the WCBEA in July 2007. Cindy is an associate researcher and job duties include compiling data and maintaining multiple databases for the Center. In addition she is responsible for all graphics and web-page enhancements. She provides research assistance for the Center’s special projects.
Education
Cindy is a 1985 graduate from Central Community College, Hasting, NE., with a nursing diploma. Cindy is currently working towards a Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration.
Previous Experience
Ms. Branch brings vast experience to the Data Center as a previous database administrator for Quality Improvement in acute care settings. This field allowed Cindy to assist hospitals around the country with data collection and data reporting. Naturally, database administrators acquire extensive computer skills and knowledge of current software programs vital to any research organization
